I’m a 19 year old DJ & producer from Hilversum, the Netherlands! I’ve been producing for the past 9 years and had my first DJ gig four years ago! I have played with: Eric Arbores, Mike Williams, Lucien foot, Plan de Champagne, & J.Butcher!
Two Years ago, on June 28th 2014 I was the support act for Lucien Foort at the Zomerspektakel in Nederhorst den Berg (near Amsterdam). Why do I feel like ‘a Dutch Lion’? When producing, I feel the power of music. It makes me happy, I feel strong and optimistic. Sometimes feeling fast and powerful and at other times lazy and satisfied.
Music kind of floated out of my hands
Music has been my world since I was born. Playing on pots and pans since the age of 2 and experimenting on my parent’s computer when I was 4. And then I discovered the world of playing the piano, taking lessons and something magical happened. At least that’s what my parents told me. Music kind of floated out of my hands.
My first music
I got my first laptop about 8 years ago. It was meant to be used for school….I’m afraid I have to confess that I’ve hardly ever used it for my studies. I immediately saw other possibilities. Yes! I started creating my first music. I discovered a totally new world after installing producer software on my computer. Now my room at home looks more and more like a production & music studio. This is my life!
This my life! & the next level…
When I turned 15, I started going to more and more parties at great clubs and venues in and around Hilversum like ‘Let’s get down’, ‘Het Pakhuis’ and ’Rex’. Obviously I also wanted to perform in these clubs as a DJ and by now I’ve played there dozens of times and the audiences have become bigger and bigger.
My ambition is to become a professional producer. Naturally I started performing as a DJ in and around Hilversum/Amsterdam. By now, in five years, I must have played at approximately 100 private parties, street festivals, sport tournaments and garden parties. I know by now how to stay friends with the police as well…. get a permit, inform the neighbours well in advance, invite the neighbours and serve good food and drinks.
